THE REVIVALIST X FREEDOM SUITE:

Introducing the Revivalist: Launching on OkayplayerOn October 26th, Revive Music Group, in partnership with Okayplayer, is launching a new online home for jazz; The Revivalist. The site will be a featured channel on Okayplayer.com.

The Revivalist highlights the groundbreaking and gifted musicians that educate, inspire and transform audiences through their live musicianship. By illuminating the renewal of jazz, synthesized with the influences of hip-hop, the site is at the heart of a cultural resurgence of live music.

To coincide with the launch, the Revivalist will be hosting the release of Freedom Suite, an exciting new project by Nnenna Freelon and hip-hop quartet The Beast, hosted by 9th Wonder with guest appearances by Brandford Marsalis, Phonte, Questlove and more. Freedom Suite will be available for free download starting Oct. 26th 2010.

Check out the first track from Freedom Suite, “Freedom Part 2.” The track is by The Beast and Nnenna Freelon ft. Suede and is produced by Apple Juice Kid. Feel free to post the track.
