Revive Da Live and Harlem Stage teamed up to produce the free event at Annunciation Park in Harlem this past Saturday, featuring The Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Ensemble and special guests. Miguel’s virtuosic work as a composer, bandleader and multi-instrumentalist has made him one of the most celebrated young musicians of his time. Taylor McFerrin opened up the show by creating live beats while simultaneously beat-boxing.
Grammy winning recording artist Maya Azucena accompanied Taylor on an A capella track.
Miguel is formally trained in classical music, but found his way through hip-hop and jazz. His music is an amalgamation of many different influences.
