The 15th Annual Red Bull Music Academy will be held in New York City this year. For any interested vocalists, instrumentalists, DJ’s, musicians, producers, this offers an amazing opportunity to interact with the industry’s greatest as an average of two guests per day give their insight and advice.
“The Red Bull Music Academy is a world-travelling series of music workshops and festivals: a platform for those who shape our musical future. Two groups of 30 selected participants – producers, vocalists, DJs, instrumentalists, and allround musical mavericks from all around the globe – come together in a new city each year for two weeks worth of recording sessions, lectures by musical luminaries, and unforgettable late night jams.”
Applications for this year’s NYC edition open on February 2, 2012 and end April 2, 2012. “Music makers across genres are invited to apply to be a part of this journey, that will see five weeks’ worth of workshops, concerts, club nights, and all-round musical extravaganzas held all across the boroughs, exploring this unique city’s diverse cultural and musical legacies.”
