Spend your Mondays in February with the Grammy nominated Mingus Big Band at the Jazz Standard. Also check out the lineups for the Mingus High School Competition and Festival the weekend of 2/17/12-2/19/12. The weekend will feature a series of workshops, events, and the competition. The Mingus Big Band has been celebrating the music of Charles Mingus, one of the foremost innovators in music, since 1991 in one form or another. 2012 is the 90th Birthday Anniversary of Charles Mingus, so look out for more exciting events.
