LIVING.LIFE.LOVE: Celebration of Somi’s Live Album with Teju Cole & Morley
Be sure to check out the celebration of Somi’s new album Live at Jazz Standard at Le Poisson Rouge on Tuesday August 9th. The album was recorded during the course of two sold-out nights at the Jazz Standard. The event description promises new arrangements of the songs set into an intimate jazz ensemble feel with Michael Olatuja (bass), Dave Eggar (cello), Jeff Haynes (percussion), and Jaleel Shaw (saxophone).
EMI Live in South Africa
The South African division of EMI has launched EMI Live, a live booking and production agency to support the many aspects of the South African music scene. EMI Live is also in partnership with TIXSA which will help with ticketing and support for larger festivals and events.
